In March of 1995, authorized by National Planning Committee and National Education Committee, National Engineering Research Center of Ultrafine Powder was founded, which is technologically supported by East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). At the same time, Shanghai Huaming Ultrafine New Material Co., Ltd., which is the first national engineering research center with corporation-mode, was registered to found. Later at the end of 1995, it was reorganized as Shanghai Huaming Hi-Tech (Group) Co., Ltd.
